sign-up to be part of a photo documentary

my camera just arrived from the art house co-op. I'm participating in a million little pieces a photo documentary. you can sign up too, deadline to sign-up to receive your camera is july 1st, 2009. 

one thousand people from around the world will document their lives in 24 frames using a disposable camera. an exhibition will be held showing over 24,000 photographs. they will be hosting an exhibition at the city that has the most participants in the project. currently, CA is in the lead with 265 participants.

they are looking for people with different cultures, ethnicities, geographic locations, and lifestyles. this is for anyone. you do not have to consider yourself an "artist" to participate.

I can't remember when I used an old fashioned disposable camera, I LOVE how the camera has a warning sticker to rewind film! LOL I would have forgotten to do this!

I'm currently reading "rubies in the orchard" by Lynda Resnick, the marketing brains behind POM wonderful, FIJI water, teleflora, and the The Franklin Mint brands. wish I had the marketing budget that Lynda has, but with that aside the key points in the book are valuable for businesses of all sizes. 

I noticed that there is an "ask Lynda" page on her blog... oh how I would love to pick Lynda's brains!

staying warm in san francisco

I admit it, I am a weather wimp after spending 5 years living in southern ca. I am pretty much freezing my butt off here in san francisco. luckily my gray handwarmers arrived yesterday from overcast. they kept my hands nice and warm this morning on the way to the gym.
