finding just the right glue

I'm working on a project that requires a glue/sealant that works with silver, gold, glass and photos... I started with silicone because it seals so well...  but it isn't an adhesive so it doesn't hold things together! so now I am trying several brands of glue. I've heard that there is a silicone glue out there, but I haven't been able to find it. who knew it would be so hard to both seal and stick something!?! there is a site that can help find the perfect glue called this to that (love the name) but sealing isn't one of the options...

design police

I really could have used these stickers in my previous career. now the only person I need to police is myself, which is actually harder than it sounds! you can download your stickers at design-police.org.

limited edition vignelli map

limited edition new york city subway diagrams signed by massimo vignelli are for sale. $299 here. proceeds will benefit green worker cooperatives. I just might have to buy one of these! though my only hesitation is that it is an updated version of the legendary 1972  map... hum. I have always loved this map and I'm from nyc... I will think about it. think I thought about it too long looks like they may already be sold out!

creating an e-mail campaign

I haven't been posting much on my blog lately, as I have been busy photographing, creating web graphics and now formating an e-blast (using emma which I love) to announce the launch of our new collection of earrings called pop rocks. I will send out the e-blast as soon as the products are added on my website. I don't do that part because I don't know how to code, so mallsoft does that for me :-) and I am SO happy about that. If you'd like to be notified about pop rocks or other sweet tooth designs news, join our e-mail list at sweettoothdesigns.com.

if only this had a chain

I'd love to get one of these... wish it had a lightweight chain so I could wear it over my shoulder.

put the hours in.

"doing anything worthwhile takes forever. 90% of what separates successful people and failed people is time, effort, and stamina." this may seem obvious, but until you actually experience starting your own business this is hard to really understand.

this is just a short quote from a long post on how to be creative by hugh macleod.  he has some great advice from experience for people who are creative, in art, in business, or whatever.
